The Black Golfers Club (BGC) is committed to increasing access to golf for under-resourced communities. Each year, we host our "No Layups" Golf Tournament, an event established in 2021 with the aim of connecting businesses and community organizations through golf, networking, and fundraising.
We’ve raised over $40,000 to support and expand golf programming! These funds directly impact the community by fueling:
"Intro to Golf" Workshops: Introducing the game to new players.
Junior Development: Expanding youth access to the sport and providing new equipment.
Financial Aid: Covering tournament registration fees for high school golfers competing for college scholarships.
BGC hosts "Sunday School" on the second Sunday of each month, and it is open to golfers of all skill levels. We play 18 holes at various premier courses throughout Southern California. Sunday School is the perfect opportunity for our members to sharpen their skills, connect on the course, and build lasting community.
Our club is committed to playing a significant role in broadening golf access. A highlight of our impact since 2021 is helping 12 junior golfers secure college golf scholarships! Everyone who is passionate about golf is welcome here. #MoreGolf
